TdU Wien is an official partner institute of Jana Sanskriti International Resource and Research Institute (JSIRRI). Together with JSIRRI we strife to collect knowledge on Theatre of the Oppressed and other forms of Applied Theatre. That includes scholarly work, scripts of forum plays, interviews and a regular newsletter. As TdU Wien we uphold an archive of TO related books and books on Applied Theatre. Also we understand ourselves as a knot of multiplying knowledge on TO. We want to engage in our work as part of an international theatre activist community.

Since 2017 we follow a close collaboration with KUD Transformator in Slovenia. Following a group representation in their NON Festival of TO we are co-organizing the festival in 2018 and also hosting the artists of KUD transformator for a residency in 2018.

actinGreen ist ein weiterer Theater der Unterdrückten Verein in Wien und verbindet TdU Arbeit besonders mit dem Thema Umwelt. Deswegen spielen bei ActinGreen auch umweltpädagogische Methoden eine große Rolle. Wir informieren uns gegenseitig über Workshops und können auch auf die jeweiligen Trainer_innen zurückgreifen, wenn wir welche brauchen.
Theater Rote Rübe ist ein Verein für Gemeinschaftstheater in Leipzig, der von Robert Klement betrieben wird, der selbst lange im TdU Wien mitgearbeitet hat. Er macht „Theater, das für jede*n zugänglich ist. Ein Theater, in dem jede Stimme gehört wird. Ein Theater, in dem jede Geschichte gesehen und geschätzt wird.“ (Zitat Website Theater Rote Rübe). Das Theater Rote Rübe ist einer der zahlreichen internationalen Kontakte des TdU Wien.

Theater of the Oppressed Activist Group Greece (Athens)
The Theatre of the Oppressed Activist Group (TOAG) was created in May 2010. Its members consider their participation in it as an element of their social identity and most are amateurs. The group mainly uses Forum Theatre, the technique and method of “Theatre of the Oppressed” by Augusto Boal. The group functions on the principles of self-organisation and self-management. It is not funded by any sponsor and always tries to play on a free entrance basis.
